The graduate field of linguistics, languages and cultures runs various discussion groups, seminar series, and conferences which draw together staff and student from the various centres and schools.

Important upcoming events

HCSnet Summerfest

This year's SummerFest runs from 1st–5th December at UNSW in Sydney. This Summer School and Conference brings together students and researchers from over 20 different academic disciplines to explore how human communication works.

OZCLO

The Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad is a competition for year 9-12 school students. The dates for the 2009 competition are as follows:
Training Session: Week starting 16 February 2009
State Round: Wednesday 4 March 2009
National Round: Wednesday 1 April 2009
